While it sounds like Claude Tag will eventually work with different platforms, the feature arrives today with Slack integration to start.
“We’re starting on Slack, which Claude can join as a team member. Grant Claude access to selected channels, and connect it to whichever tools, data—and even codebases—you choose,” Anthropic says.
“Then, anyone in the channel can tag @Claude in, and delegate tasks to it while they focus on other work. Claude builds context by remembering relevant information from the channels it’s in, and can plan out tasks to complete in future.”
The company describes Claude Tag as an evolution of Claude Code. It’s also a tool that Anthropic has been using internally for a while.

The company says Claude Tag gives everyone on a team access to the same version of Claude, and the tool can learn over time. It can also work proactively if “ambient” behavior is turned on, and tasks can be scheduled and automated.
Claude Tag arrives today as a beta feature for Anthropic customers. The feature works with Enterprise and Team subscription tiers.
