Per leaker Ice Universe\u2019s latest post on X, they claim that the \u201ccrease control\u201d on Samsung\u2019s new foldable line is \u201cjust as impressive as that of the OPPO Find N6.\u201d<\/p>\n

Notably, this contradicts what the leaker posted earlier this month, claiming that the \u201cGalaxy Z Fold 8 series doesn\u2019t have a Privacy screen, doesn\u2019t support the S Pen, and the crease doesn\u2019t improve much.\u201d They do clarify that they were referring to the initial version in this particular post, and that the \u201d last new version has significantly improved the crease.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s rather daring to suggest that Samsung\u2019s latest foldable could emulate the OPPO Find N6\u2019s \u201cZero-Feel Crease.\u201d The Chinese foldable, launched in March, has an almost imperceptible screen ripple when it\u2019s fully extended and remains one of its core selling points. However, it wouldn\u2019t be beyond Samsung\u2019s capabilities.<\/p>\n

The company\u2019s Display division demonstrated a crease-free display at CES 2026 earlier this year, suggesting that it\u2019s actively working on a solution to the least aesthetically appealing aspects of the form factor. Ice Universe also doubles down on a previous Weibo post, noting that the \u201coriginal Fold 8 has been renamed to Fold 8 Ultra, while the original Fold 8 Wide has been renamed to Fold 8,\u201d a decision that was \u201cmade only recently.\u201d<\/p>\n

Notably, none of the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series\u2019 details have been confirmed as yet, and we\u2019re still a while away from its expected launch in July. But this latest leak should excite those who\u2019ve been holding out for a smooth-faced Z Fold.<\/p>\n
