The company has announced JOBS (via Macworld), a custom line of iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models that pulls inspiration from the first iPhone, and features a (very) small piece of history.<\/p>\n

Based on what appear to be renders available on the product\u2019s website, the device\u2019s back features a black panel which, paired with a silver titanium body finished with a PVD coating, reinterprets \u201cthe aesthetic of the first iPhone 2G as an object of contemporary luxury.<\/p>\n

The black panel also features a reproduction of Steve Jobs\u2019 signature and, embedded in the Apple logo, is a tiny square cutout of \u201cJobs\u2019 turtleneck from the presentation of the NeXT computer, authenticated by certificate\u201d.<\/p>\n

We checked archive footage of Steve Jobs\u2019 introduction of the NeXT Computer on October 12, 1988, and it appears that he wore a tuxedo at that particular event.<\/p>\n

However, he later transitioned to his signature turtleneck while still at NeXT.<\/p>\n

Back to the device, Caviar decided to make just 9 units of the custom device, as an homage to its launch date, January 9, 2017.<\/p>\n

As of right now, the company says that there are just 2 models left.<\/p>\n

The devices feature a custom wallpaper made exclusively for these 9 units and come in deluxe packaging that also includes a \u201csignature Caviar key.\u201d<\/p>\n
