If you previously used Samsung Gallery to OneDrive sync feature, you will need to\u00a0update your camera roll settings\u00a0to continue backing up new photos and videos and to access any photos you have already backed up via the OneDrive app.<\/p>\n

Users can still back up their photos and videos via the OneDrive app, but direct integration with Samsung Gallery will go away.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a relatively minor change in terms of workflow. Where the Samsung Gallery integration just required a login, OneDrive\u2019s backup requires the login, a dedicated app, and giving Microsoft\u2019s app full photo\/video access. Microsoft offers step-by-step instructions.<\/p>\n

In all reality, there probably weren\u2019t that many people using this integration. OneDrive storage is included with a Microsoft 365 subscription, with prices starting at $1.99\/month for 1TB of storage. For those using Microsoft\u2019s software suite, it\u2019s a nice add-on, but Google Photos and even Amazon Photos offer better functionality for photo backup and usage of those photos compared to OneDrive.<\/p>\n
