Today, Apple updated its Developer blog with a notice that \u201cstarting June 18, 2026, in accordance with local regulations, age ratings on the App Store will be updated in Australia and Vietnam.\u201d<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what\u2019s changing in the App Store\u2019s Vietnam storefront:<\/p>\n

To align with Article 38 of Vietnam Decree 147, apps available on the App Store in Vietnam will require a region-specific age rating. Based on your age rating questionnaire responses in App\u00a0Store\u00a0Connect, your app will receive one of four ratings (00+(all\u00a0ages), 12+, 16+, or 18+) which will appear on its product page in Vietnam. Additional details, including age rating values, will be available in App\u00a0Store\u00a0Connect and\u00a0App\u00a0Store\u00a0Connect Help\u00a0on June\u00a018.<\/p>\n

To comply with\u00a0Australia\u2019s guidelines for the classification of computer games, the 15+ age rating will no longer be available on the Australia App\u00a0Store. Apps currently rated 15+ with the following content descriptors will be updated to\u00a016+:<\/p>\n

Apple also reminded developers that \u201cthe new rating will appear on [their] app\u2019s product page in Australia,\u201d adding that they should \u201censure [their] responses to the age rating questionnaire in App Store Connect accurately reflect [their] app\u2019s content.\u201d<\/p>\n
