Over the last few weeks, we’ve been seeing leaks of a mysterious ANBERNIC handheld with a swiveling display. Just yesterday, we reported that the device showed up in a couple of new videos. Now, the latest leak may have finally revealed the name of this handheld.
Up until now, all of the leaks that have come out have been compressed videos. A new leak, however, provides a high-resolution photo featuring the back of the device. Spotted by Retro Dodo, the photo is clear enough that we can read the text printed on the back.

according to the data this text, the handheld’s name is the “RG Rotate.” A fitting name considering how the 1:1 display rotates upward to reveal a hidden gamepad. We can also see that the device features a 2,000mAh battery, which should provide a decent amount of playtime depending on what you’re emulating. We did see in the leak before that this device supports Nintendo 64 emulation, which tends to be fairly power-hungry.
It’s unclear when ANBERNIC plans to announce the RG Rotate. We also don’t know yet how much it will cost. Here’s hoping that the RAM shortage doesn’t make the system too expensive.
