Nothing Ear (open) is getting a blue colorway next week

The topic Nothing Ear (open) is getting a blue colorway next week is currently the subject of lively discussion — readers and analysts are keeping a close eye on developments.

This is taking place in a dynamic environment: companies’ decisions and competitors’ reactions can quickly change the picture.

Nothing’s Ear (open) earbuds are getting a refresh next week, with a new blue colorway dropping on May 11.

Following a teaser earlier this week, there was speculation running around that Nothing might be releasing a new model of its open-ear headphones, the Nothing Ear (open). That’s sort of true, but it’s just a new color.

In a teaser on Twitter/X, Nothing says that a blue color of Nothing Ear (open) will be launching on May 11, and the company confirmed in an email to 9to5Google that this is just a new colorway of the existing earbuds.

Lots of things are blue: the sky, the ocean, a 1996-era Walkman. Swimming pools, tennis courts, everything by Yves Klein.

As for the blue color itself, it’s pretty subdued, especially compared to the recent blue colorway found on Nothing Phone (4a). Still, it’s nice to finally get another option. Ear (open) was released initially only in white, lacking the black and yellow colors found in the rest of Nothing’s earbud lineup in 2024.

Personally, I was a huge fan of Nothing Ear (open), and still find myself using them often today. Whether or not we’ll ever see a true refresh remains to be seen, but I’m pretty excited to see this new color when it drops next week.

Nothing Ear (open) are generally sold for $149, though the existing white color is often on sale.
