Gemini app rolls out notebooks to Android as iOS gets Liquid Glass

The topic Gemini app rolls out notebooks to Android as iOS gets Liquid Glass is currently the subject of lively discussion — readers and analysts are keeping a close eye on developments.

This is taking place in a dynamic environment: companies’ decisions and competitors’ reactions can quickly change the picture.

Following the launch earlier this month, Gemini notebooks are now available on Android and iOS, while the iPhone has been updated with Liquid Glass.

“Notebooks” appear in the Gemini side panel between My stuff and Gems. You’ll see recent collections appear, with “New notebook” at the bottom of the list.

They can be used like simple folders for conversations (tap the three-dot overflow menu to group), or as a “dedicated space to organize your chats and files.”

These notebooks sync with NotebookLM. As such, there are source limits depending on your Google AI tier.

Google says Gemini notebooks are “coming soon to additional countries in Europe.”

Meanwhile, Google yesterday updated (version 1.2026.1710203) the Gemini app to target iOS 26. As such, you’ll notice the new Liquid Glass keyboard and menus, like when tapping the ‘plus’ menu. There’s also an updated side panel for iPad users, but it’s otherwise a straightforward modernization for Apple platforms.
