The topic Gemini Spark now supports 3rd-party apps, including MCP, adds real-time topic updates is currently the subject of lively discussion — readers and analysts are keeping a close eye on developments.

This is taking place in a dynamic environment: companies’ decisions and competitors’ reactions can quickly change the picture.

Gemini Spark can now work with more of your apps and services. On the first-party front, Spark can now access Google Keep and Tasks. for example, you can “ask Spark to scan your scattered brain-dumps in Keep and turn them into action items in Tasks.”

There’s also now third-party integration with Canva, Dropbox, Instacart, OpenTable, and Zillow Rentals, “so you can easily design custom flyers, access and share your files, reserve a table for date night, order your weekly groceries, or reserve an apartment tour.”

This support is coming first to Gemini Spark on web and mobile over the next week. It will be available on Mac in the “coming weeks.”

At the same time, Google is rolling out Model Context Protocol (MCP) support. At the bottom of gemini.google.com/apps, you can enter a custom app link to get started.

Google also announced the ability for Gemini Spark to “intelligently track topics and react to events in real time.”
